Bears and Stern’s provided fresh ammunition for another bear onslaught. Sensex lost more than 1000 points and in the process fell below the 15000 mark. There was no place to hide as it was an across the board kind of fall with all heavyweights and sectors falling like ninepins. Orchid was the worst hit as it lost more than 40% on huge volumes. Banks were the worst affected as ICICI bank led the decline with more than 14% loss. Breadth was pathetic as could be expected on such a day.

The stock has formed a bearish Head and Shoulders chart pattern on the daily chart. The neckline for the same is placed at Rs600. This bearish signal indicates a beginning of a new downtrend. The daily RSI is exhibiting negative divergence and the MACD is also indicating a negative crossover, indicating weakness in the trend. A sustained close below the levels of Rs575 will lead to a breakdown from this bearish pattern. Based on the above observations, MAKE YOUR SOPT LOSS OF 600

Aurobindo Pharma (SELL, CMP Rs258, Target 245/???)

On the daily charts, the stock is on a steady downtrend from November 2007 onwards. In the last week of February, the stock attempted reversal from Rs300 levels and halted at the resistance of Rs340. Form this level, the stock has declined sharply and has given a downside breakout. The daily momentum indicators are also showing a downward trend. RSI is well below its neutral area of 40 and MACD has also shown a negative divergence. We expect the stock to test its previous bottom in the near term. Based on above technical perspective.
Market Report:
Nifty fell below 4500 and is now approaching the Jan lows of around 4430. There are no signs as yet of any bottom formation as market is violating all the support areas with ease. The fall below 4620 suggests that we could be in for another bout of selling that might take Nifty to around sub- 4300 levels. Things remain uncertain on the fundamental front too as skeletons keep falling from US financial sector’s cupboard. Most of the stocks are breaking significant support levels and are making new lows everyday. At the cost of being repetitive, we could only advise wait and watch as far as action is concerned. Market doesn’t seem to be in hurry in finding any sort of bottom and we should also follow the market.
